My dad’s birthday was this Monday and the kids were more than happy to help him celebrate last Sunday.
Kara has always had a soft spot for her Grandpa and she was all smiles and hugs for him. There’s something wholehearted about her when she’s happy – she doesn’t do anything by half-measures, our Kara – that is utterly charming. Her enthusiasm is infectious.
The boys were keen to involve themselves in their own way. Toby helped decorate the birthday cake, while Isaac lit the candles. And then both of them helped Grandpa blow them out. Twice.
Although it’s possible they’re trying to enact an alternative version of The Three Little Pigs. I’ll huff and I’ll puff …
