Sometimes Kara is the cuddliest, sweetest child of the world. And sometimes she is downright fierce and in need of advanced anger management classes.

The kids discovered Kung Fu Panda this week and they were all rather taken with it. Of all our children, Kara was always going to be the one most likely to have an affinity with an ursine martial artist. Sure enough, she needed little encouragement to adopt a pose that was equal parts Hilary Swank in The Next Karate Kid (one of the worst sequels ever made, right up there alongside Robocop 3) and the Pink Power Ranger, with a smattering of the Wicked Witch of the West thrown in. Priceless.

She packs a pretty mean punch too. Unlike the panda, there’s not much danger of Kara ever being an endangered species. She knows how to look after herself just fine.
