Another Brick on the Floor: A Lego musical parody

Is there anything more annoying than stepping on a stray Lego brick discarded carelessly by a small child?

I was going to produce a new Valentine’s Day parody this month but, well, I didn’t. (You can listen to last year’s effort instead here.)

Instead, inspired by the release of the Lego Batman Movie, I’ve penned a small tongue-in-cheek parody of everyone’s favourite injection-moulded plastic construction system. (Can you believe the original song is 38 years old this year?!?)

Now all I need is a choir to sing backing vocals …

Another Brick on the Floor (to the tune of Another Brick in the Wall, Part 2)

We don’t need no Lego Batman
We don’t need no Minecraft range
No Death Star and no superheroes
Lego causes so much pain
Hey children leave those bricks alone
All in all it’s just another brick on the floor
It’s not fair you’re leaving Lego bricks on the floor

We don’t need no mini-figures
Emmet, Wyldstyle, Lego Friends
Red, blue and yellow moulded plastic
Will the carnage never end?
Hey children leave those bricks alone
All in all it’s just another brick on the floor
It’s not fair you’re leaving Lego bricks on the floor

And here is the original in all its glory.
