As they say on Game of Thrones, winter is coming.

The weather has turned noticeably chillier over the past few days, hasn’t it? Okay, we haven’t had any of the snow that has hit the north of the UK but a couple of times this week there has been a thin film of frosty ice covering my car when I’ve been leaving for work in the morning. And it’s getting dark noticeably early too.

Isaac and I were walking home from town the other day with the setting sun at our backs, casting our shadows fully ten – maybe even 15 – metres up the path we were walking on. It made us look like we were both walking on stilts!
