It’s been a busy week.

Starting at 3am on Monday, it was a 70-hour week spread across three countries. It was a lonely week too, one in which I saw very little of the kids.

My favourite moment of the entire week was the way I was greeted enthusiastically in turn by each of the children on Thursday morning as they woke up and found me back home.

But my favourite image of the week was taken from an aircraft window 30,000 feet above the French coastline during my final flight of the week. Aside from it being a great view, it was symbolic of heading home.

Travelling for work can be fun (although it has its downsides too). But travelling home … there’s no feeling quite like it.
