Our children do love to dress up.
In preparation for Hallowe’en, Isaac has a new skeleton costume, which he has accessorised with a pirate sword. I’m not entirely sure why he’s threatening to cut his own throat with it – maybe he’s attempting to shave? – but I’m sure there’s a good reason for it.
Kara isn’t dressed for Hallowe’en. She needs no reason whatsoever to dress up as Elsa from Frozen. Or a fairy. Or in her freshly purchased pumpkin costume, which she was wearing when she jumped up and down on me in bed this morning.
I’ve been traumatised ever since!
