Podcast #7: Potty Mouthed Mummy

Welcome to episode seven of the Slouching towards Thatcham podcast, bringing you the voices behind your favourite parent blogs.

Every week a fellow blogger joins me to talk about one of their favourite posts and read it in their own voice. It’s as simple as that: bite-sized chunks of blogging brilliance!

Potty Mouthed MummyThis week’s guest is mum-of-one Sian from the blog Potty Mouthed Mummy.

On the podcast Sian reads her post Calling my son a girl, about breaking free from the constraints of gender stereotypes. Does it matter if her son has a pink toy, or does it say more about people who pass comment about it?

You can follow Sian on her blog Potty Mouthed Mummy, on Twitter @pottymouthedmum and also on Facebook, Instagram and Pinterest.

My post for this week touches on a similar theme, looking back to a time when Isaac’s favourite colour was pink.

Pretty in pink describes his all-encompassing love of the colour and how this display of innocence was something to be celebrated while it lasted and mourned when it eventually passed.

In addition to the blog, you can also follow me on Twitter, Facebook and other social networks via the buttons at the bottom of this post.
