Another week, another announcement. Last week it was the news that I am writing a book about my experiences as a 21st century dad. This week – because, obviously, a book won’t keep me busy enough! – I’m delighted to reveal that Slouching towards Thatcham will soon be expanding into its own podcast.
My inspiration was the bloggers’ keynotes at BritMums Live. Listening to great blog posts being read by their authors in their ‘true’ voice was extremely powerful. I wanted to find a way to share that kind of experience across a wider audience and on a more regular basis. And so the idea for the podcast was born.
I’ve always said I have a face for radio!
The Slouching towards Thatcham podcast will be a collaborative effort, with the aim of showcasing parent bloggers’ great content and unique voices. It will contain a combination of my own content and a different guest blogger every episode reading and talking about one of their favourite posts.
I’m just in the process of lining up my first few guests, so watch out for Slouching towards Thatcham coming in audio form to both this blog and a podcast library near you, hopefully in late July/early August.
