Wednesday Words of Wisdom: No regrets

I’d rather regret the things I’ve done than regret the things I haven’t done

Lucille Ball

Following on from last week’s post about becoming a willing agent of change with respect to helping encourage more dads to attend BritMums Live next year, I’ve been busy getting started on a number of other projects too.

I’ve finally decided to take the plunge and write a book about my experiences of being a 21st century dad. And I’m furiously working on putting the pieces in place for my second project, which I’m hoping to announce later this week. (I’m such a tease …)

It means making a few changes, jettisoning some things and cutting back on others. But both the book and the to-be-announced project are bucket-list items I have wanted to do for quite a while. Either or both may fall flat on their face, but to paraphrase Ms Ball, it’s better to have tried and failed than to never try at all and forever wonder, “What if?”

Whatever, there will be no regrets.
