Yesterday was Isaac and Toby’s school fête. Although from this photo you could be forgiven for thinking it was in fact a tryout for the Dallas Cowboys cheerleader squad.

Both boys have always been in touch with their feminine side – we’ve had our fair share of pink, nail polish and Elsa dresses over the years – but this is the first time they’ve embraced pom-poms.

We’ve always been happy for them to break free from gender stereotypes and explore their own interests and preferences. I might have to draw the line if they start asking for ra-ra skirts, though …
