Dads – they come in all shapes and sizes.

This week I’ve picked out tales of two distinctly different fathers: one a stay-at-home dad, the other a husband continuing to be a father in extraordinarily difficult circumstances.

Home time – Rainbeaubelle

Julia has a son, a daughter and a husband, Roger, who has inoperable bowel cancer.

In Home Time, she describes how, after several weeks in a local hospice, Roger was recently allowed home for a few days. The family treated it as a full-on holiday, doing all their favourite things together.

It’s a sad but touching reminder that life and time spent with our children are things to be cherished and never taken for granted.
