Won: Season four (2008), beating Claire Young after a final task in which they had to develop and then market a new men’s fragrance. McQueen was best remembered on the show for his catchphrase “Now that’s what I’m talking about!”, his pterodactyl impression, and for being caught out at the interview stage for having lied on his CV, on which he had claime dto have studied at Thames Valley University for two years, when in fact he had dropped out after four months.
Pre-Apprentice: The son of a milkman, McQueen was an IT recruitment sales manager from Princes Risborough, having initially worked as a Catering Manager at Harrow School.
Post-Apprentice: Lee worked for Sugar’s Amshold company as a development director under Sugar’s son Simon, developing Amscreen-branded digital display advertising products for the outdoor market.
Post-Sugar: In July this year, it was announced he was leaving Amshold after two years to set up Raw Talent Academy, which aims to provide both small/medium-sized businesses and corporate organisations with the opportunity to build internal sales academies into long term staffing plans and to encourage organisations to look beyond university graduates for new talent.
